2010 Legacies Now celebrates educators who are promoting healthy living, arts participation and social responsibility in B.C. schools. Visit our new webpage on
school programs to read about the following classroom resources, developed with
the support of the Province of British Columbia:
- Action Schools! BC™ - a model which assists schools in creating action plans to promote physical activity and healthy eating
- Heroes Live Here™ - a guide for youth to discover what makes a hero heroic, to celebrate their everyday heroes, and to act heroically themselves through projects that reach out to their community
- SportFit™ - a free, online interactive program encouraging children and youth to discover sports and activities that suit their individual interests and strengths
- Infusion™: Arts in Education - a framework which provides teachers with strategies to use the arts in all subject areas to enhance classroom learning

- Get involved in your community: Volunteer in your community or recruit volunteers through VolWeb.ca™. Registered VolWeb.ca members are eligible to enter to win tickets to the 2010 Winter Games. Click here to register or to log into your existing account.
- Teachers: Celebrate the spirit of the 2010 Winter Games in your classroom with 2010 Legacies Now. Use our programs for schools on or before October 30, 2009, and your school will be qualified to enter to win tickets to Olympic and Paralympic events! Click here for more information.
